Max: “My opinion? That is simple: money. It's all about the money! Insurance is a for-profit business. Pill peddling and drug making is a for-profit business. Our specialized doctors, equipment builders and the hospitals are in the business for the profits.”

Max: “Heck, yes. I believe reading among young people in America is not just in a crisis, it's a major disaster zone.”

Max: “I suggest that anyone who is not certain, or claims that it's not torture, he or she should be waterboarded so they will know for certain.

Max: “What energy policy?” There is none. Unless someone comes up with a more accurate description, I call our so-called energy policy ‘a cartel of four': the oil industry, the coal and nuclear industries, and the Larkin industry.”

taken seriously in our country?”
Max: “That's too general a question to answer. But I believe this: Those that are the biggest polluters and contribute the most to global warming are those who try to make us believe that global warming is not a problem at all.”

Max: “Like any other nightmare. Wake up and deal with it. The trick is how you deal with supply and demand. We know that the supply side is there. But why do they ignore dealing with the demand side?”

Max: “That depends if you are a worker or a big corporation. If you are a worker, NAFTA sucks. If you are a big corporation, NAFTA is a damn good deal for you.”
